iSchoolAfrica Education Trust
is looking for a Programme Lead.

Ideally you would have background in the NGO and/or Education Technology sector. A track record that demonstrates strong relationship building skills with all stakeholders and the ability to grow the fundraising portfolio of the organisation. Strong experience with running teams.

iSchoolAfrica is an education initiative that reaches schools across South Africa in rural and township settings. The overall objective of the initiative is to empower teachers and students by giving them access to the world’s most advanced educational technology and classroom practices.

Responsibilities of Programme Lead

The role includes the following key activities:

  • Responsible for building relationships to identify new opportunities and leading the process of winning funding for new projects.
  • Lead and support current team of Programme Managers, facilitators and administrators
  • Work with the programmes teams to ensure all programmes are effectively monitored and evaluated so we can demonstrate our success and impact
  • Oversee current sponsor relationship management
  • Represent the Trust, interact and engage with local and national authorities as well as with the local and regional government bodies and NGO’s to support the Trust vision
  • Represent the Trust in national, regional and international fora and build the Trust profile
  • Lead team on on social media, case studies and branding material
  • Overall trust business plan, budget management and reporting
  • Managing communication and trustee relationships
  • Oversee the implementation & strategic direction of all programmes, ensuring we meet all key targets and responsibilities towards donors and project objectives
  • Ensure that the Trust is recognised as thought leaders in education technology
  • Oversee the financial management and will ensure programmes are delivered in a cost-effective manner,

Experience and skills required:

  • At least 3 years at senior management or in a decision-making position
  • Proven ability to secure new income opportunities through proactive and sustained business development/fund raising
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of South African education sector advantageous
  • Please note this role will require you to have your own transport and be willing to travel
